British fashion brand, Superdry, set its sights on further expansion into the American market in 2017 with the opening of 7 new stores in the North-East. With its brand essence of the fusion of vintage American and Japanese-inspired graphics, Superdry’s store design for the new openings included a distinctive suspended lightbox, or “cash cloud”, above the till area which would be visible from every angle.
Kendu worked with Superdry to design, manufacture and install the custom-made “cash cloud”. By using the Smartframe system, the “cash cloud” lightbox adds a highly visible 360º communication space which highlights the latest looks, showcases inspirational images and allows customers to move effortlessly around the store while still being able to easily identify the till area. Since its launch in the greater Boston area, the “cash cloud” has been rolled out in other strategic store openings across the USA.
