Last week Dusseldorf was once again transformed into the world’s retail capital with over 90,000 of the industry’s experts coming together at EuroShop 2020. Over five action packed days, retail professionals bore witness to exciting innovations and installations from a sector that never fails to surprise.
With the slogan “Making Sense of Retail”, our all-new Experience Design department conceptualised and executed the Kendu stand which offered a range of unique and interactive shopping experiences to stimulate the visitor’s five senses.
With its high impact multisensorial experience, the stand featured four very different retail concept stores highlighting the lifestyle, cosmetic, luxury and grocery sectors. Each “store” took visitors on an authentic customer journey in which they could enjoy an interactive and immersive shopping experience inspired by and designed for the modern customer.
In addition to a series of creative installations using the Smartframe range of frames and lightboxes as well as the award-winning dynamic display Flowbox, each of the four concept stores integrated innovation in-store solutions including: video mapping that could be customised in real time via an iPad, a virtual assistant that recommended the perfect pairing based on a selected wine, a smart fitting room with displayed detailed product options thanks to RFID tags, unique textile options for LED lightboxes, Flowbox Interactive “activated” via a static bike, a scent marketing experience and more.
