Print Operator

Kendu’s key business areas are Experience Design, from strategy and technological ideation to space design; Project Execution including technical plans, in-house manufacturing, integration of 3rd party solutions and installation; and Campaign Management comprising of digital and graphic content creation, printing, delivery, and data control. Kendu has also developed in-house award-winning solutions such as Smart frame (SEG fabric frames & lightboxes) and Flowbox, the next-generation dynamic lightbox that combines graphics and motion. Key Account Manager for KENDU in the USA responsible for breaking into new retail accounts, keeping the existing ones, and increasing market share in North America and Latin America.
Functions
- Process and coordinate print production using network data and outside party software.
- Process image files as needed to meet order sizing requirements and provide feedback on quality: performing scheduled cleaning and maintenance on printers and trimmers.
- Maintain adequate and efficient media and ink stocks; Perform accurate media and ink inventories and ordering.
- Support Admin and Pre-Production functions as required; Communicate effectively with various departments exceeding established practices and throughputs.
- Maintains clean and organized workspaces and equipment.
- Able to cut jobs printed during the day (ZUND)
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities a must.
- Strong mechanical aptitude: maintenance and repair functions on assigned equipment.
- Must be willing to cross-train on other equipment in all manufacturing departments.
Requirements
- High School or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the printing industry.
- Frequent lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with Durst or Vutex printer is beneficial.
- Experience using Caldera RIP Software.
- Have experience with large format / signage print finishing – laminating, mounting, wrapping.
- Experience with Creative Cloud, or Adobe Illustrator
